A free browser bike game with no download

Some games ask a lot before you get to play: an account, a store page, a fifteen gigabyte install, a launcher that needs updating. Super Light Bikes asks for a browser tab. Open the page, the 3D arena loads, and you are racing within seconds. It is a complete game, not a demo: matches of 2 to 8 bikes, unlockable paints and bikes, a ranked ladder and a daily prize.

What you need to play

Because everything runs client-side in a tab, it also works on machines where you cannot install software: work laptops, school computers and Chromebooks. There is nothing to add to the browser, and the game saves your progress locally so it is ready the next time you visit.

How a match works

Choose a bike count and press begin. Your bike leaves a solid trail of light wherever it goes, and so does every rival. Hit a trail, a wall or a gap and your round is over. Win two rounds to take the match. A charged jump lets you clear a trail, and a boost gives you a speed burst when the space ahead is open. Larger matches split across two or three grids, all tracked by the radar.

Desktop controls

The how to play guide covers touch controls, camera zoom and audio settings as well.

Desktop, laptop or phone

The game is built to work everywhere a browser is. On a computer you get keyboard controls and a wide view of the arena. On a phone you get tap-to-turn and thumb buttons for jump and boost, with menus designed for portrait and races that can run in either orientation. Progress is saved per device in local storage, so clearing browser data will reset your coins and unlocks.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need to download anything?

No. There is no install step and no app store. The whole game loads from the web page, and core files are cached after the first visit so reloading is fast.

Is it really free?

Yes. Every bike and paint can be earned with coins from matches. The optional rewarded ad only exists in the native Android app, and it is never required.

Can I play on a Chromebook or school laptop?

Yes, it runs in the browser like any other web page. No extensions or downloads are involved, so it works anywhere a modern browser is allowed.

Does it work offline?

After your first visit the browser caches the core game files, so the game page can still open if your connection drops. Your first load, and any future updates, need a connection.
